President of Togo to participate in Africa investor CEO Institutional Investment Summit

Johannesburg, South Africa; New York, USA; 15 September 2011: Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment research and communications group, today announced that President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, President of the Republic of Togo, will participate in the African Heads of State Investment Working Lunch on 26 September at the New York Stock Exchange. Togo is a world-leading producer of phosphate and is pursuing a major drive to attract investment to boost its agriculture opportunities.

Jointly organised by Africa investor, UN Office of the Special Adviser for Africa (UN OSAA), UN Office for Partnerships, UN Global Compact, UN Principles for Responsible Investment, the Africa Progress Panel, and the Global Partnerships Forum, the African Heads of State and Government Investment Working Lunch will continue an Africa investor-led dialogue between international business leaders and African Heads of State on investment partnerships that support inward investment to the continent and regional economic integration in Africa.

The African Heads of State and Government Investment Working Lunch will coincide with the Africa investor CEO Institutional Investment Summit. The Africa investor CEO Institutional Investment Summit, held annually in partnership with the New York Stock Exchange, is internationally recognised as the calendar event for global institutional investors and pension funds to engage African Heads of State, CEOs from African-listed companies and investment decision makers from pension funds. The Meeting will be broadcast by Thomson Reuters TV.
