Johannesburg, South Africa; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; 18 November 2015: Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment and communications group, today announced that Africa’s foremost business leaders, acting as business ambassadors through the use of their corporate platforms to promote the continent’s economic development agenda, will be recognised by African Heads of State and development partners at the Africa investor (Ai) Presidential Investment Champions and Business Ambassador Awards 2016.
In turn, African Heads of State will be recognised by the business community for their exceptional work in promoting investment into key sectors and geographies. Africa’s continued development and prosperity is closely linked not only to high levels of good governance but extraordinary commitments from African Heads of State acting as champions of specific catalytic activities and sectors. These unique Ai Presidential Investment Champions and Business Ambassador Awards recognise African Heads of State who have provided exemplary leadership and acted as investment champions, resulting in an improvement in the implementation of initiatives that have increased Africa’s economic growth and investment.
Commenting on the Awards, Hubert Danso, CEO and Vice Chairman of Africa investor, said; “These unprecedented Ai Presidential Investment Champions and Business Ambassador Awards provide a unique opportunity for African Heads of State and business leaders to recognise and celebrate each other on investment successes throughout 2015. It is not often that these parties’ collaborative economic and investment leadership success stories are recognised and we are delighted to be able to offer this Africa investor platform to enhance recognition and collaboration between Africa’s Heads of State and foremost business leaders.”
